Since graduating at East 15 Acting School in 2000, actress Libby Liburd has landed a variety of roles on stage and screen, appearing in two episodes of the BBC's popular sci-fi drama Torchwood, and touring the country in panto productions.

But it’s her latest work, Muvvahood, that’s earned Liburd recognition. In an aim to create more suitable roles for herself, Liburd turned her mind to writing and penned the new critically-acclaimed play, which centres around her experiences as a single mother, and explores the challenges and stereotypes surrounding it. Now, the young playwright prepares for her biggest show to date as her play hits the Park Theatre in November 2017.
